Inland Container Terminal

A terminal operation can be divided into two main areas. The first area is the physical terminal related activities where the second area relates to the additional services a terminal has to offer.

Regarding the first area, the terminal has to ensure fast Gate In and Gate Out actions, provide storage areas, deliver reporting and produce as less costs and time loss as possible.

The second part consists of terminal services. The services contain a small truck planning, a trimodal voyage / transport planning, rental and sell of containers as well as maintenance and repair of containers.

A standard terminal provides maximal trimodal container transport; barge, rail and truck. It also has terminal equipments like cranes, reachstakers and forklifts.
